Design Concept:

This is not a chair.
This is the first moment of silence made physical — a seated eclipse, a suspended thought, a planetary womb.

MERCURY INCANDESCENT™ is a meditation throne designed for the innermost chambers of the Vault. The form is sculpted from a meteorite-skin composite and poured into a singular curve that merges seat and light into one continuous breath.

Above the sitter hovers a glowing satellite orb — a zero-noise, dimmable light that mimics Mercury’s glow against the sun. It is not centered. It leans. It lives.
Its light is warm enough to comfort, cold enough to awaken.

The interior cushion is hand-carved obsidian leather, crack-veined to mirror ancient lava beds and thought scars — for only those who’ve burned before can rest here.

Symbolism:

The Mercury glyph is embedded at the basin — a planetary signature marking this as a place of inner speed.
Not motion of body, but of thought.

It is believed that sitting here will allow the mind to accelerate while the body slows, simulating the paradox of Mercury: fast around the Sun, but slow to spin.
